Monday night training plus Winter League update

From John Hodgson.

The switch to Heversham sports hall has to be postponed for another week due to extended exams, i.e.  we now start there on the 28th Jan not the 21st Jan. So anyone coming next week, please go to Milnthorpe for one last time. See 10th January post for more about the new winter venue.

Well, there were no juniors last week which I hope was not the reason behind their fantastic turnout and performances at the second Winter League races at Fairbank, near the M6 turnoff to Sedbergh. Numbers were up from 10 to14 and we had a WINNER! You should have seen Debbie jumping for joy. She manages  to get way out on the course to cheer them once and then ,taking a direct route, gallop back to see them again, so Jacob Steele got a double dose in his U14 race. Congratulations.
There were lots of good performances with every runner making their own special effort making parents and club members proud of them.

The roll of honour was:  Alfie Walton, Angus Kennedy, Thomas Burrow,Edward Leedham, Ewan Benson and Grace Attwood in the U12's. Jacob Steele. George Attwood and Vickie Leedham in the U14's and Jack Sharples, Tom Harkes, Sarah Thompson ( two 2nds so far),Will Leedham and a super effort from Alice Steele in the U17's.
PS. There was a 400% increase in Senior representation as well, with Martin Benson and Debbie Copley leading us home.
