Here are the details from Liz about the upcoming orienteering evening which is open to all Dallam members ,families and their guests:
EVENT: It's a 60 minute orienteering type score event suitable for runners,walkers and dogs,collecting information from controls which are existing signs,notices etc.
TIME: Please be ready to set off in a mass start at 7pm prompt
WHERE: Storth Playing Field; go left up the road after the Ship Inn if coming from Milnthorpe; continue straight on pass the war memorial on the right; pass the school on the left and take the first narrow turning after the school on left. The playing field is on the left 100 metres after the turn

BRING: A watch. You will lose 10 points for every complete minute you arrive back after he t60 minutes so you need to time yourself. A pen or pencil to write your answers. The map is rudimentary and not waterproof - you may want to bring something to protect it - I will provide a basic plastic bag;
COST: As it's a fundraiser we are looking for £5 per adult donation towards our 2015 charity fund
AFTERWARDS: Rather than hire the hall so as to make sure that all the money raised goes to Alzheimers , please come to my house in Storth for food and drink afterwards - a Jacob's join as I will not have time to make sufficient food for all. We might be a bit squashed but we can always spill out into the garden providing it does not rain. Bring whatever you want to drink although I will get some bottles in and will seek extra donations as a fund raiser. Any special requests for food and drink let me know - for instance I can easily make some bacon rolls. Let me know if you want a bacon roll.

HEALTH AND SAFETY STUFF There is a great big quarry in the middle of the area; it has a fence around it - don't cross the fence. Also please take care crossing any roads.
