21st January - Crosby Commoner - from Nina Walkingshaw "we're organising a new race as a school fundraiser, it'll be in the 2012 FRA handbook, but as it's on the 21st Jan it could easily come and go before it's noticed! The race is 6.8m /237m ascent over Crosby Common and Orton Scar with views to the Pennines, the Howgills and the Lakes. Juniors start at 1pm and Seniors at 2pm, with tea and much cake available afterwards. It starts at Crosby Ravensworth School, which is 10 mins from the Morland junction of the A66.Thanks in anticipation!"

From Dave Deason,"Jarv, Stuart ,Mikey P and me will be making an attempt on Wainwright's Coast to Coast route starting at St Bees on Friday, 4th May 2012 finishing at Robin Hood's Bay Tuesday, 8th May 2012.

The target is five days meaning around 30 to 40 mile a day but the pace will be around the BG type of running/walking, so pretty easy going.
We would welcome anyone who would like to give it a go, they just need to sort their accommodation (see Blog),it would also be great if anyone wants to join us for the odd day or half to give us some of that famous Dallam support.
