On the evening of Tuesday 27th August,
Blackpool prom is closed to traffic and lots and lots [and lots] of
cyclists ride the length of the prom having a preview of the
illuminations.
We ride from Starr Gate on the far south end up to the top, turn
round and back down again usually stopping for chips on the way.
It starts at about 7pm
but you can join in and stop/start to please yourself, there's no
official start/finish. It's well marshaled and there's all type of
cyclist and bike to be seen.I've done it a couple of times and it really is a great night out.
