Charity events in May

More details about the orienteering evening on the 7th May ,and also to let you know that the cross bay run will be earlier this year ie on the 28th May as this is the only summer Wednesday evening which fits with the tides.
These are both fund raising events for the Alzheimers Society and are open to Dallam members, families and friends,so hope to see loads of you there!

Dallam Orienteering evening on Wednesday 7th May

Venue: Silver Saplings, The Guide Field, Silverdale (adjacent to Eaves Wood N.T. Car Park)
Registration from 6:30pm for a mass start at about 7pm.

£5 to enter with all money raised going to Alzheimers.
You can run in teams of 2 or more and the object is to visit as many control points as you can in the allotted time and get back to base without incurring a time penalty. And we have a NEW map this year so you should all be visiting corners of the wood you haven't seen before.

It is a great fun event and will be followed by a fantastic Jacob's Join Supper. (So please all bring a small contribution towards this...butties or home baking are very popular!)
John Hodgson is back too and will be doing the presentation for all the juniors who took part in the Kendal Winter League.
