8 December UPDATE.
RACE POSTPONED DUE TO THE WEATHER.

Just spoken to Micky P on the phone - Mick, Julie, Dave and Helen went over to check out leg 4 of the relay on Sunday...... apparently it was REALLY ICY - almost dangerous in places. Obviously a lot could happen weather wise between now and then and we have to make a decision nearer the time after consultation with the organisers.
However assuming it is all systems go - it is probably worth reminding all runners that they MUST carry full waterproof clothing (i.e.. Cag and over trousers) plus a hat, gloves, MAP(relevant one) compass and whistle. If anyone does not comply then the entire team is disqualified. Everybody also needs to wear club vests on top of base layers etc. Pairs will get their numbers from the marshals at the start of their particular leg. It is essential that each pair has read the INSTRUCTIONS PERTINENT TO THEIR LEG - check out the Halifax Harriers web site and click the Calderdale way link. We will need to sort transport shortly and I will need to complete the team entry sheets with "full name, address and contact tel. number" I'll be along on Wednesday or will contact runners by phone or e-mail for these details.
TEAM CHANGES.....
Helen Whitehouse cannot run so I propose Vicky Kirkwood runs with Dawn on leg 5.
Jane Gill cannot run leg 3.
Stuart Hurst - could you run leg 1 with Mike Hill?
I will run leg 3 with John Hodgson (I've got a hamstring problem).
THIS JUST LEAVES US WANTING ANOTHER RUNNER FOR LEG 3 TO RUN WITH DAVE SHINN.
Hope this all makes sense - if everyone is agreeable and we find someone for leg 3 I will post an updated team sheet on Thursday.

Given the weather and so that as many as possible can get together to finalise arrangements ,this Wednesday's run on 8th December will be from a more accessible location ,the Cross Keys,Milnthorpe.
The blue road and Clougha will be resheduled for better weather!
