6th February 2013 AGM Roundup

31 members attended the meeting at the Woodlands Hotel after the alternative on and off road runs.

Club funds/Chosen charity 2012
Club funds remain in a healthy state. Approx £1500 raised for MS Society from our various events and races in 2012. There were also other substantial individual sponsorships and donations in addition to this.

2013 Subscriptions
After some discussion the 2013 basic club subscription was set at £2 per head. Those age 11 and over wishing to have England Athletics registration and competition licences will need to pay an additional £10 per head.
We might have to review the very low basic subscription again next year as it relies on members willingness to pay and the other amounts that we raise from club events and races.

Please pay Paul Sewell as soon as possible using this newly designed membership form
(it's not electronic so you'll need to print it off)
2013 Chosen Charity and possible events
It was decided to continue supporting the MS Society during 2013. Also agreed to give a one off donation to local Mountain Rescue. Actual amounts to be determined at the next AGM.

20 Barriers and Arnside Knott races are likely to be in their usual spots in the calendar ie 20 Barriers Tuesday 2nd July , Arnside Knott Sunday 17th or 24th November.
The Dallam Dash 10k might revert to it's traditional slot ie 5thy May 2013.

Debbie and Vicky gave an active presentation of their proposed Dallam Superstars event which is likely to at Tristrams Playing Field on a Wednesday evening in May.
Paul Sewell will also plan another Cross Bay Run.

Further details will be announced on the website as plans and dates are firmed up. Please speak to Dave Shinn or Paul Sewell if you want to organise any other races or events.

Club places for the London Marathon
After discussion it was agreed to retain the present system ie members need to have applied to London Marathon and be in receipt of a rejection slip before being eligible for one of the club places. We'll try to put a reminder on the club website before the LM applications open online.

FRA/UKA Fell Relay 2014
A number of members are keen that the club organise the four Home Countries relay in October 2014 in conjunction with Howgill Harriers. However this will require Dallam sharing the overall responsibility and for a number of individuals to firmly commit to taking on a proportion of the coordinator /manager roles. Further update in more recent post.

Calderdale Relay 19th May 2013
We've now got a team entered. Ideally want it to be in Mixed category ie 6 women and 6 men. Please put your name forward to Adrian.
