Scout Camp – the heart of wild Ennerdale
(I have been asking around and think there
has been sufficient interest in this idea so here goes……..The next great Dallam
social….)
The Scout Camp is located on the shores of Ennerdale Water. (NGR
088 155) It is in a fantastic isolated spot…..(and Fox and Hounds is only just
down the road!!).
From the site we will have access to footpaths and bridleways – so
great for running, walking and mountain biking. And you can also use kayaks on
the water I believe.
Facilities on the site include toilets, hot showers and washing
facilities, a laundry room, campfire circle (good for a sing-song!) possible
barbecue available, (Might be good for the Friday night!!??)
We will be given our very own dedicated camping area and there is
also space for 3 or 4 campervans, (seeing as these are getting quite popular in
the club!!)
The cost is £6 per person per night. Bring your own tent.
I will need payment in full with your booking requirements to me
as soon as possible. So, please let me know who you are and how many of you as
well as tent/campervan. Any questions, give me a shout.
