Hello all, I have contacted Tim via email to check whether he was okay after recent events in Sri Lanka as I know some of you had stressed concern for his welfare. Below is his response.

For those new to the club Tim has been a long standing member of Dallam and friend who recently moved to Sri Lanka.

Thanks for the mail. 

Yes, we’re all ok thanks, although the nearest bomb to us was only about 3 miles away do a bit too close for comfort.

All a bit shocked, and had 3 nights of curfew and a declared state of emergency!

Anyway, life goes on and we’re taking the kids away for a few days to the south today...thought of cancelling, but then they win don’t they?!?

Great to see and follow the dallam website and especially the new club championship. Well done on getting that up and running.

I’ve joined the local ‘hashers’ that run twice a week, although miss the hills of Cumbria, and still doing my morning beach runs about 3/4 times a week, so keeping it going at around 20/25 miles /wk, which considering the heat and humidity I’m pretty happy with!

Give my regards to all at the club, and keep posting on the website.
