Bradford Millennium Way Relay

I've just received details from the relay organiser. Are we going to get a team together for another Yorkshire adventure?
Please let me know who's interested in being in the team and any volunteers to be Team Captain.

12th March 2007

Dear runner,

Sunday 24th June 2007 will see the 6th running of the Bradford Millennium
Way relay organized by St. Bede's A.C. The race is run by teams of 10
runners, running in pairs, split over 5 legs (a similar format to the ever
popular Calderdale Way relay). The route covers 50 miles of scenic
countryside, taking in Bingley, Denholme, Oxenhope, Haworth, Silsden,
Addingham and Ilkley. Legs 1 and 2 are each 11 miles, leg 3 is 8 miles, leg
4 9 miles and leg 5 11 miles.

The race has now become well established and last year attracted 40 teams
including teams from across West Yorkshire, Lancashire and even 4 teams from
Holland and Belgium. The race was won in record time by a strong team from
Pudsey and Bramley Harriers.

Please find attached an entry form for this years race. The race entry fee
is £70 for a team of ten runners, which includes a commemorative race
T-shirt and free refreshments after the race at the race headquarters at
Bradford & Bingley rugby club.

Entries for this years event close on 1st June. Team prizes will be
presented in 4 categories, Open, Mixed (1male and 1 female to run on each
leg), Ladies and Vets.

Yours in running

Jack Verity
