Hello Dalamites,
I have some further information for our Christmas run and meal on the 28th December.
All members intending to run will need to board the 12.54 train from Staveley station to reach Windermere for 13.00 where we will run back to Staveley. The cost for this short journey is £3.30.
The main run will follow predominantly the same 9 mile return route although there will be a point at which those who wish to run a little further will have a 12mile option available too.
There will also be an alternative 6 mile run/walk route available for those that would prefer a shorter, lower level return route and route maps will be provided.
In keeping with tradition we will be holding a raffle after our meal and Mark Bell has kindly requested members to bring prize donations on the day… it will be interesting to see if the “white sport socks” make a return for the third year running!
Also and sure to be a highlight of the evenings entertainment, our quiz master Mark O Shaughnessy will be conducting a general knowledge quiz which is sure to be be both popular and possibly competitive.
Whilst post run we will have time to sample one or two beverages from the Hawkshead Brewery giving Wilf’s time to prepare for the onslaught of smelly runners, it is worth noting that Wilf’s isn’t licensed and so you will have to bring your own alcohol should you want.
Finally Mark Bell has requested that those who have booked places but haven’t yet paid to please make payment as soon as possible if they can (payment details are listed below).
